Hi, I have been on the connick.com website and heard about your music, and of course about all that has happened to New Orleans, I hope things get better for you, and I am gonnna try to buy a cd soon, I love blues and dixieland type music, I am originally from Texarkana, and I am sure you have heard that Scott Joplin was born there, Anyway, hope to hear back from you.

To Lucien Barbarin- I loved hearing you and the bands in New Orleans at the Palm Court and Preservation Hall (remember the ladies who requested "I'll be Glad When you're Dead, You Rascal You"?). The last time I was in N.O., I was pregnant with my older son, so he heard your music too. So glad to hear you and your family (and trombone!) are safe. All our thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful city.

I am saddended to hear that you lost your home but I am glad to hear you made it to a relative's home. God has blessed you with great talent and I'm fortunate to have seen you play here in NJ with the preservation Hall band and with Harry in NYC. Now God has blessed you with safety for you and your family. I will be purchasing your CD and will send you a check to your home to help you get by. It won't be much - I'm not a wealthy man - but I feel better about giving money directly to someone than giving it to the Red Cross.
